Dear Franklin Families:
I’ve created a mailbox for you to reach me by clicking on the following link: Mrs. Tiedt's Parent Referral Mailbox. You may also reach me via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 920-424-0078 ext 1528.
During this time, I am sharing Social Emotional Learning with the students and families on my Facebook page. Click here to join Mrs. Tiedt's School Counselor Connection on Facebook. I also have a Google classroom to reach out to third through fifth grade students and I have a topic in each of the Kindergarten through second grade Google Classrooms. Please remind your student to check out my classroom for mindfulness activities, read-a-louds and social emotional lessons each week. Please ask your student about the website that I’ve created for them as well. Click here to check out Mrs. Tiedt's Counselor Connection.
This is a stressful time for everyone. Remember we are here for you. Although we can’t all be together right now, we are here for you. If you need anything, check out this Oshkosh Area Community Resources link. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. We are all in this together. We’ll get through this.
Check below for what’s happening this month!
Thinking of you all!
What's Happening in Guidance?
In February we are focusing on Kindness and Diversity.
Franklin Kindness Challenge
During the month of February we are going to focus on random acts of kindness. February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day. We would like to challenge Franklin Elementary students to complete a 28 day Kindness Challenge. Each student will be receiving a copy of a 28 day challenge sheet for the month of February! Once you complete an act of kindness, you can color in the square on the sheet. Anyone that brings in their sheet completely colored in at the end of the month will win a small prize. Please return the sheet to Mrs. Tiedt for your prize. Remember, there are 28 acts of kindness on your sheet, so you will have until the end of February to complete the challenge. This is an average of 1 act of kindness each day. I can’t wait to see how many of you can complete this challenge! Good luck everyone!
Valentine's Day Sucker Gram Sale
Starting on February 1, 2021 through February 9th, 2021 we will be having a Valentine’s Day sucker sale to help raise money for our PBIS incentive prizes. The cost of a sucker gram is $1.00 and will be delivered to the student with a message of your choice.
All suckers will be delivered on Thursday, February 11th or Friday, February 12th. The following order forms were sent home with students: Valentine Gram Order Form
March 1 & 2
3:15 to 7:00 pm
Franklin will host Parent/Teacher Conferences for all student on March 1 & 2 from 3:15 to 7:00 pm. These conferences will be via Zoom or by telephone at parent's request. We will be using the PTC Fast program to schedule these conferences. Please watch for more details to come.
Hello from the Art Room!
Just a reminder for all students, if you still have art supplies (glue sticks, scissors, markers, crayons) at home to please bring them back to school. We still aren’t able to share supplies. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough to share with each student and disinfect before the next class. Also, check with your child to see if they are running low on anything, like glue sticks, in case they need to be replenished.
Thank you for your help!
